2018-2019 FFC8 Employee of the Year, Rick Archuletta, has Tremendous Positive Impact on Students, Staff at FFCHS
Rick Archuletta was selected as the 2018-2019 Employee of the Year. Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 is grateful for all his hard work and dedication and wants to show the rest of our community the success he has worked so very hard for.
His colleagues characterize him as a very motivated and inspiring team member at Fountain-Fort Carson High School. He is able to connect with students, staff, and families to the point where he is a large part in students’ success in school as well as outside of school. He pushes new curriculum, as well as new ideas that benefit FFCHS in multiple ways.
At Fountain-Fort Carson High School, he works as the AVID coordinator, and a social studies teacher which also includes psychology. He’s also supported golf teams and baseball teams throughout the years, working as one of the amazing coaches for each team. Archuletta is most known for his role in the AVID programs. His colleagues have commented on his ability to tirelessly to push new forms of learning and new ideas across all of the school, not just AVID. As an example, in many classrooms across the school, AVID inquiry has been adopted, teaching students to take ownership of their learning. His colleagues look up to him as well as are very proud of the work he has done and the special honor he has been given.
His impact on the school will be felt for many years. Students and teachers will be learning from him no matter what, and that is exactly why he was nominated and picked for the Employee of the Year Award. He is an amazing asset to the FFC8 family and the community as well and the district is so proud and honored to have him teaching future generations.
