Hello Conrad Families,

It has been a wonderful first two weeks of school for our preschool students!

Everybody has done an amazing job with transitioning, and there have been many happy smiles seen on students and adults.
I attribute this to our loving staff and the time you all took to familiarize your child during Parent Orientation. Also, your positivity is contagious! The students have started settling into
their classroom routines and are beginning to make connections with classmates, the beginning of lasting friendships! You will be amazed at the growth and independence your child will demonstrate each week. This is an exciting time of learning and growing, and my staff and I are blessed to be able to share the
experience with you!

We have some upcoming events I wanted to make sure you were aware of:

● Thursday, August 29th, the preschool students will have the opportunity to have their pictures
taken by Lifetouch photography. You should have received a flyer with information about prices, but
there is also information on Conrad’s website and on our Facebook page. Lifetouch has made it very
convenient to order online and not have to worry about sending money in the envelope on picture
day. Easy peasy!
● Our preschool students (all students in FFC8) do not have school on Friday, August 30th as this
will be a Staff Development day for our teachers. Also, Fountain-Fort Carson School District will
be closed on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.
● We will be having our first PTO meeting of the school year on Friday, September
13th at 8:30 AM in the Conrad’s Cloud Room. Look for a flyer coming home tomorrow. I would love to
have all of you join us as we plan the year and talk about your ideas for our school.
● Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 26th from 4:00-5:30 PM. We are planning a Family
Fun Night at Conrad. There will a variety of activities and games that our teachers will be
coordinating for everybody to enjoy. This will be a great opportunity to meet other families and
play! Look for more information coming home soon.

Thanks for sharing your child with me! I am looking forward to a fun-filled year as we continue to
build our Conrad community!
Enjoy the week,

Stephanie Lee Preschool Administrator (719) 305-3513
