Hello!  My name is Christine Smith and I teach kindergarten at Patriot Elementary School on Fort Carson, CO.  Teaching kindergarten was and still is my dream job and I have been fortunate to have taught kindergarten all nine years of my career thus far! Although as a learner, I love math, as an educator, I love teaching children to read and write! To watch the happiness on my student's face when they realize that they can read is a priceless image that gives me warm tingles in my heart and keeps me going every day! 

I attended and graduated from FFC School District 8 and then from CSU-Pueblo with my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Education.  I am currently in pursuit of my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy Studies from Univeristy of Texas- Arlington. 

I have a 7 year old daughter.  When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with her as well as with our large family. 

Other things I enjoy include: the Denver Broncos, Starbucks, and children's literature.
