• Wrestling 2022-2023

The wrestling season is quickly approaching.  All athletes will need a current physical in order to participate.

When:  We will begin our pre-season work on 9/26 – 9/30.  These sessions are non-mandatory, but highly encouraged.  The actual season will begin on 10/3.  I will pass out season calendars and all other additional information at our parent meeting which will be held on October 5th in the cafeteria at 6:00.  Athletes and parents should both be in attendance.

Equipment needs:   Mouth guards for those with braces.  Top and bottom required if you have top and bottom braces.  Amazon has these available for cheap as will your orthodontist.

Shoes- Wrestling shoes are not required, but highly encouraged.  When you step on the mat you definitely want to look the part.

Head Gear- provided by the team, but many wrestlers prefer having their own.

Warm up gear- Warm ups will be available for purchase.  Warm up gear are the items athletes will wear over their singlets when not competing.  They are not required but again highly recommended.  We want to look as uniform and team like as possible.

A parent meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 5:50pm at the soccer field for important details and expectations. Please plan to attend the meeting with your parent or guardian.

We will be having pre-season workouts and skill review on the following dates: 9/21, 9/23, 9/28 and 9/30. These workouts are optional, and are a great opportunity to get to know the coaches and get extra touches on the ball before tryouts begin! They will be right after school from 4:05-5:45pm and will held at the football field.

All the coaches look forward to working with you this season!

    Thank you,
