Ms. Nicholle Hays
As the daughter of a Navy officer, I have truly experienced what the military life is all about. After being born at the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, WA, my dad’s career took the family to Pensacola, FL and then onto Jacksonville, FL. After a few years at each city in Florida, the family once again packed up and headed back to Washington State where we settled in Bremerton. After only a few years in WA, my dad was transferred to Colorado Springs, where I fell in love with the state, and have remained since. I studied at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and graduated with a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction. I started my teaching career in 2004 at Mountainside Elementary. I have taught first, second, third, and fourth grades.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I were recently married in December of 2014, and between the two of us, we have FOURTEEN nieces and nephews, with one on the way, due this October! I also love to read, play sports, travel, and hang out a Coors Field (home of the Colorado Rockies) and Security Service Field (home of the Sky Sox) during baseball season. My husband and I share a goal of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball Parks in North America. Eleven down, many more to go!
Thank you for allowing me to share a bit about myself, and I look forward to learning more about your families as well.
