Remote Learning in FFC8 During the 2020 COVID-19 Closure
This site has been developed in response to the Governor's Order that all public and private schools in Colorado suspend "normal, in-person instruction" through April 30. You can read the Governor's order here.
In response to the order, Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 will begin offering remote learning opportunities to all students on April 7, 2020. This page will contain the information and resources parents need for every level of instruction, as well as ways to access support through the district and schools. We look forward to working with parents in support of students mastering and refining the skills they need to advance to the next grade level.
To access information by grade level on your desktop, click the links in the blue menu bar on the left. To access information by grade level on a mobile device, click the red Pages button at the top of the screen.
All online instruction for students will be based in Schoology. See the Schoology section below for additional information.
It is important to note that the guiding document for student and staff behavior with regards to digital technology and devices is the district's Acceptable Use Policy, which all students and staff signed at the beginning of the school or employment year. It is linked here for reference.

Technical Support for Students & Parents
Parents, we want to support remote learning for your student as best as possible and understand that you may have technical issues. We have created an email address and phone number you can use to reach out for tech support. You only need to email us or call us; please choose only one method to reach out. One of our technicians will respond as soon as possible.
Here is the information you need to include in your email or voicemail:
- Your name (Parent's full name)
- Your phone number, including area code
- Your student's full name
- Your student's school
- Describe in as much detail as possible the issue(s) you are experiencing
- If possible, include a screenshot or picture of your screen via email

In-person technology support is available at Fountain Middle School, M-Th, 8am-2pm, in the cafeteria. You can access the cafeteria door from Alabama Ave on the south side of the school. If you have contacted tech support and the problem cannot be resolved over the phone or through a remote session, or you need to pick up, drop off, or exchange equipment, you are welcome to stop by the cafeteria at Fountain Middle School during our open hours. Assuming you have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account with a valid email address, you should have a Parent Schoology account. Here are instructions and information about gaining access to your Parent Schoology account, as well as information about the Schoology mobile app.
Need help finding your elementary student's username and password?
Login to your IC Parent Portal account, select MORE on the left menu, then STUDENT EMAIL. Select your student from the top right dropdown menu, you'll see the student's username (email address) and password. Here's a document that walks you through the process.
