  • The purpose of the Fountain Middle School Creative and Technical Careers Student Organization is:

    • To provide leadership opportunities for students.

    • To help students explore career options in the Creative Industries.

    • To plan field trips and events.

    • To develop a legacy program for the 8th Grade Class.

    • To recruit students to the department.

    The UCCS College of Engineering and Applied Science and Northrup Grumman STEM Academy

     

    This innovative program is designed to reach a wide variety of Pikes Peak Region students (grades 7-12) at a critical juncture in their academic careers as they begin to plan for high school and college. The event will feature four high school tracks: robotics, cybersecurity, drones & CAD, and front-end web design and one middle school track: cybersecurity. The STEM Academy brings together a diverse group of local students to highlight STEM subjects and encourage students to delve deeper into STEM exploration. The academy will begin at 8:00 a.m. each day and end promptly at 4:30 p.m., with lunch provided each day.

     

    • Middle School (7th & 8th Grade) STEM Academy is Monday through Thursday .
    • High School STEM Academy is Monday through Friday.
    • Parents are encouraged to attend the STEM Academy Breakfast and Information Session to meet UCCS faculty, speak to Northrop Grumman personnel, and learn more about the opportunities for STEM professionals.

    Cost: Free

    Requirements: Must have high interest in STEM topics and working in a team environment

    Middle School: July 20-23, 2020
