Miss Stutz

My name is Miss Stutz and I am so excited for another amazing year at Patriot. This will be my third year at Patriot Elementary and my 4th year teaching overall. I have always taught 5th Grade and I could not imagine being in any other grade. I love what we do at our end of the hallway prepping you for middle school.

I was born and raised in Thornton, just north of Denver by two military parents with my two sisters and then enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves after college. I am a 68X- Behavioral Health Technician stationed out of Fitzsimmons in Aurora, CO. Between my parents and my military careers, I have been fortunate enough to see many bases around the world and live in a few different places. But there is just something about the mountains that always brings me home to Colorado. Fort Carson is also where I met my husband and we got married last year, so this base will always hold a special place in my heart!

I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with my BA in History and licenses in Elementary Education, K-12 Spanish Education and 7-12 Social Studies Education. I then graduated from Arizona State University with my M.Ed. in Curriculum Instruction focused in Gifted Education. I graduated in May 2021 with my ED.S. and I have just started my Doctorate of Education at Liberty University. This year I will begin working on my research and dissertation. I am incredibly passionate about students advocating for themselves to achieve anything they believe they can in all aspects of their life.

In my free time I enjoy swimming, paddle boarding, camping, traveling and spending time with my husband. I have three fur babies; my dog Lillian who is 9years old and my cats Aspen and Ash who are 4. If you cant find me I am probably preoccupied with them.

This year if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me via email or our class communication app. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you!!!
