Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Ramona Lapsley

I live the dream every day that I am teaching at Mountainside! My goal was to be and Art Teacher ever since I was in High School. I had a great teacher there and decided that it should be my calling as well. I am originally from Brighton, Colorado. I have degrees from Concordia University-Nebraska and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to teaching at Mountainside I taught art in Green Bay and then Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’m fortunate to have taught Art at every grade level and have facilitated teacher and adult workshops with Imagination Celebration and the Colorado Art Education Association. When I am not teaching, I enjoy time with my family, gardening, and working in the printmaking studio at the Manitou Art Center. As a productive artist, I am represented by local galleries and have artwork in numerous public and private collections. My favorite time of year is when we are able to collaborate with artists from Concrete Couch to have our Marionette Project here at Mountainside
