Miss Curl

I am excited to be teaching fourth grade at Jordahl Elementary School for a third year!  I am passionate about teaching in order to help students grow as learners in order to achieve their dreams.  I look forward to working together in supporting your child on their educational journey this year.

Here is some more information that you may want to know about me.  I grew up in Fountain and attend schools in School District 8 from kindergarten through my senior year of high school.  I graduated with a B. S. in Liberal Studies with the focus on elementary education and a special education endorsement from Colorado State University-Pueblo.  I have taught second grade for the past two years at a charter academy in School District 3.  I completed my master's in education degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Trauma and Resilience in Educational Settings from Concordia University Portland, Oregon.

I spend my spare time with my family.  I love to take care of my two yellow labs named Calie and Sugar.  I also coach soccer teams for the City of Fountain Youth Park and Recreational Soccer for boys and girls for third grade through sixth grade in my spare time, and many of those players come from Jordahl.  I will also be the soccer coach for the sixth grade team at the Fountain Middle School this year.  I have been coaching soccer for a total of nine years.  I love to support students in learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and to have fun learning the sport.

I look forward to getting to know you and your students this school year!  Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns that you might have at ccurl@ffc8.org
