Jarrett Sweckard is the new District and FFCHS Athletics & Activities Director. He will also be managing middle school sports. Sweckard started out his career as a social studies teacher and a coach at Pueblo South High. He coached football at the varsity level as an offensive and defensive line coach for fifteen years. He coached JV football as well.

After receiving his master’s degree in administration, Sweckard became the Athletic and Activities Director for Pueblo South and held that position for 12 years before joining Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 (FFC8).

“I have always admired the FFCHS facilities and programs. The facilities are top-notch in the state of Colorado and the new arena proves the school district's dedication to providing the very best for its students,” said Sweckard.

One of Sweckard’s main goals this year is to build relationships with the students, staff, coaches, and sponsors to help provide the best for FFC8.

“I am so honored to work with the staff, students and athletes at FFCHS. It is my goal to provide successful, meaningful experiences for our students.  I will continue the traditions and provide support and enrichment to the school,” said Sweckard.

Sweckard has been married to his wife for 29 years. She is also an educator, however, she recently retired from teaching. They have two adult daughters that are both in business fields. During his free time, Sweckard enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and two new dogs who they adopted this year.

Fun Facts:I like to watch Food Network shows that feature trendy restaurants. When they feature a restaurant in Colorado, my wife and I drive there to try it out. We also enjoy antiquing.”
