Trojan Rifle Team Dominate at Western Region Championship

Our Trojan Rifle Team continued their dominance at the U.S. Army Western Region Service Championship—a title FFCHS has held since 2017!

  • 1st & 2nd place TEAM wins
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5th individual awards

More outstanding performances:

  • Freshman team member Kelsey Dardas, broke a National Individual record shooting a score of 598 out of 600. Only missing two bulls eye center shots.
  • Freshman team (Inho Lee, Isabella Torres, and Simone Dorsey) placed 7th in Western Region
  • Simone Dorsey finished 40th out of 283 individuals

Overall, Rifle Team 2 finished in 6th place out of 26 U.S. Army JROTC High Schools from across the United States, Europe, Alaska, and Hawaii. 

Team 1 Dominated the field and finished 1st place in all three regional matches.  FFCHS Team 1 will be representing the U.S. Army along with teams from Kentucky, Texas, Germany, and Missouri at the All Service National Championship March 19-123 in Camp Perry, Ohio.

National Distinguished Recognition: 

  • Congratulations to the Newest National Distinguished Shooting Athlete, Emmanuel Ordway.  He earned a total of 33 points of the required 30 points, thus earning him his National Recognition. 

There were many more points awarded and they are as follows:

  • Nayleen Campos- 13 points, 2 away from Silver Recognition
  • Element Kimble- 8 points toward Silver
  • Lillian Daniels – 7 points toward Silver
  • Kelsey Dardas-12 points, 3 away from Silver Recognition
  • Paul Underwood – 27 points, 3 points away from National Distinguished 
  • Tucker Combs- earned 3 points Bronze Award
  • Simone Dorsey- earned 4 points Bronze Award
