New Jordahl Elementary School Resource Officer

Officer Brunow is the new SRO at Jordahl Elementary School! 

Before becoming an SRO, Officer Brunow worked in the Patrol Unit at the Fountain Police Department. He also worked as a deputy in a county jail for 6 years and 5 years in the prison system. He is also a Navy veteran.

He was inspired to become an SRO due to his past experiences with the ones he met in school.

"One of my good friend's dad was an SRO in Fountain. We were on the same football team. I broke my leg in 8th grade, and I remember his dad giving me a ride to one of the away games to be with the team and I thought it was the coolest thing."

In his short time as an SRO, he's enjoyed interacting with the students.

"I was officiating flag football this season for a local rec center. I recognized one of the students from the school. I told him who I was and at the end of the game he said I will see you at school. I believe it is building those relationships to show we are humans as well."

A unique fact is that he wears a size 18 shoe. His hobbies are spending time with family and playing/ officiating sports.
