Greta Yocum Named FFC8 2023-2024 Employee of the Year

Congratulations to Jordahl Elementary STEM/ Media Teacher Greta Yocum who was named the 2023-2024 District Employee of the Year during the FFC8 Welcome Back Breakfast on July 31. 

"I was truly surprised, especially with so many amazing candidates next to me. The Jordahl staff was so supportive that at that moment I felt blessed to work with such a wonderful staff. It was an overwhelming feeling of gratitude," said Mrs. Yocum. 

Mrs. Yocum joined the #FFC8Family in 2000. She taught 5th grade for 23 years. This is her second year as a STEM/ Media Teacher.  

"My favorite part of the job is teaching all of the Bobcats, kindergarten through fifth-grade science through critical thinking and problem-solving. Seeing the kids each day truly fills my bucket!" said Mrs. Yocum. 

Mrs. Yocum credits the success in her role to her administration. 

"My principal and assistant principal have shown that they trust me, they give great feedback, and they give me opportunities to grow. My peers have always been my number one support. We all need each other, and I rely on them through the good and the bad," said Mrs. Yocum.
