FFCHS JROTC Hosts Pikes Peaker Raider Challenge

Fountain-Fort Carson High School JROTC hosted the Pikes Peaker Raider Challenge on Sept. 7 with 13 teams from Colorado, Texas, and South Dakota competing.

Over 150 Raiders completed a series of events including a 5K run, a one-rope bridge, and several obstacle courses carrying backpacks, a 185-pound rescue dummy, and other items. It was a great display of camaraderie, teamwork, and grit.

Congratulations to the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans for placing third in the mixed-team category. Special thanks to the UCCS Army ROTC Battalion and Fort Carson’s 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team for providing exceptional mentors and graders.
