FFCHS DECA students bring home 23 medals in state event
Fountain-Fort Carson High School students dominated at the DECA State Career Development Conference held in February at the Broadmoor. Overall, the team brought home 23 medals.
Students competed against 3,000 high school business, finance, hospitality, and marketing students. Topics included Apparel and Accessories, Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, Sports and Entertainment, Professional Sales, and much more.
The competition tested students’ skills in how to handle a multitude of business/marketing situations in a role-play scenario or business presentation. Students also took a 100-question test, to assess their business knowledge.
The following students received recognition for ability and achievement at the association level:

6th Place: Lauren Hodges – Financial Consulting
