Choir and FBLA students present Col. McLaughlin with a check

Fountain-Fort Carson High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter and FFCHS Choir members raised over $730 for Mount Carmel Veterans Service. The money will go towards their spring 2023 honor flight fund for local Colorado Veterans. Honor Flight is a national organization that transports Veterans to Washington DC to celebrate them and allow them to reflect at the memorials that were built in their honor.

To raise the funds, choir students sold flags to honor veterans at their Veterans Day Concert. FBLA organized a 'Coin Wars' where classes competed to raise the most money for a prize.

Col. Bob McLaughlin, the Executive Director at Mount Carmel visited FFCHS and was presented with a check from the students (Pictured above). Students are happy with their fundraising efforts and are glad they could help local veterans experience a trip of a lifetime.
