Assistant Principal Lisa Wood
Hello! My name is Lisa Wood and I am honored to serve and support the students, teachers, and parents of Aragon Elementary School. Prior to being a vice principal, I taught for 8 years in our wonderful Fountain Fort Carson School District. I have always been passionate about the role that schools play in shaping how children view themselves, the world, and their place in the world. Through strong relationships, instructional expertise, and by having high expectations for all students, the staff at Aragon strives to help students reach their full potential. Watching students grow, and subsequently seeing doors of opportunity open in children’s lives, is what drives all of us at Aragon Elementary.
When I am not at school, I love spending time at home on my mini-farm with my husband and four teenage children. As a family, we enjoy spending time at home with our various critters (to include a potbellied pig named Tater), love exploring the Colorado outdoors, and enjoy serving regularly at our local church.
One of my favorite quotes by C.S. Lewis states, “Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.” With a growth mindset, all things are possible. I am grateful to play a role in equipping and encouraging the Aragon community as they strive towards success.
