Assistant Principal

  • Anne Warren

I am so excited to have the opportunity to be at Mesa Elementary this year! This is my second year as an Assistant Principal; my first year at Mesa. Prior to going into administration, I was a classroom teacher for 21 years. I have taught 4th and 5th grade in Academy D#20, Fountain-Fort Carson D#8, and Pueblo City Schools.

Being one of the rare Colorado natives, I'm passionate about our state and all the wonderful experiences it has to offer. I spend my spare time in the outdoors; the San Juan Mountains are hands down my favorite location. I can often be found hiking, backpacking, camping, or 4-wheeling. Occasionally I try to land a rainbow trout from a high-mountain lake and I've been known to spend an entire day exploring ghost towns of mining days gone by. My two teen-aged sons and my husband will occasionally accompany me on my outings.

I love education and being an administrator allows me to work with students, teachers, and parents on a building-wide level. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you ever have any questions; and please feel free to come up and introduce yourself when you are in the building. I'm excited to get to know our students and parents. Mesa is a great school, we have a great community, and I look forward to it being a great year!
