2nd Term: 2017-2021
Loretta (Lori) Kimball was born and raised in a small farming community in central Iowa. She and her nine siblings all attended the same school district from kindergarten through their senior year. She and her husband moved to Fountain in 1977. She stayed home to raise her two daughters until a position opened at Lorraine Elementary in a special education classroom. She worked for three years as a paraeducator at Lorraine Elementary from 1984-1987. She graduated from the University of Southern Colorado in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Elementary Education and then began her teaching career in School District Eight at Jordahl Elementary in a half day kindergarten class. She continued in District Eight for the next 21 years at Mesa Elementary teaching kindergarten, first, second and third grades during which time she received her Masters of Arts Degree in Education from Adams State University in 1999.
Lori retired from Fountain-Fort Carson School District Eight in May, 2012. She has four grandchildren currently attending FFC8 schools, and one who graduated in 2019. Both her daughters work for FFC8 and her husband is also a retired educator from FFC8 who is currently on the coaching staff for the Fountain-Fort Carson High School (FFCHS) track and field team. She looks forward to contributing her teaching experience with the Board of Education. Walking, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family are some of her interests.
